About us

My husband and I have always had an interest in reptiles, but it was not until recently that we finally decided we wanted to own a snake. We spent months researching the perfect snake for beginner reptile owners and in this process we realized a problem with all the websites we visited. They all had great information, but where they were rich in information they were always lacking other information we were looking for. For example one website would have great information about Ball Pythons, yet it would be lacking on the specifics on how to keep a Ball Python healthy in an enclosure. We would have to search through multiple websites to find the best temperature, humidity and enclose for our snake. To say the least it was frustrating, so as I was researching about Ball Pythons, I decided to start collecting this information in a binder called “Steph’s Big Book Of Noodles.” We finally got our Ball Python, who we named Pirate, and we absolutely fell in love with him and knew we wanted more snakes. So we made a list of all the snakes we wanted so I could start researching them as well. As before, I encountered the same issue, jumping from website to website just to find basic information on theses species. So I gathered this information and added it all to my binder, and slowly my binder grew. Then my husband had the idea of sharing this information through this website, for others who were thinking about owning a snake. A place where people could go to learn, not only about different common species of snakes, but also the basics of reptiles as a whole.

Our love for this hobby, I guess you could call it, has grown immensely. We now own Pirate the python, and Barbell the boa, and plan on owning many more in the near future.

Our main goal is to share the wealth of information we have found on our journey as snake owners. To help insure beginners that they know what they will be getting themselves into, and more importantly to insure when you do get your first snake or reptile that it will be kept in a safe and healthy environment. So many people jump into this decision and realize to late that they just aren’t ready, and this leads to an unhealthy, and unhappy snake, which then can lead to a more aggressive snake. The health of your reptile should always be your top priority.

If you ever have any questions please feel free to send us an Email, I am always researching and learning about new species and will gladly help you with your questions.
